Instructor
Natalia first heard about Pilates in a Physiotherapy workshop in Sao Carlos, Brazil, whilst studying her B.Sc. in Physiotherapy. Natalia was impressed by her teacher’s ability to execute exercises so precisely, with unusual control and mobility. After graduating she decided to travel to Australia to study English and experience living in a country that was new to her.
After completing her English course Natalia began her studies in Sports and Remedial Massage at the Australian College of Natural Therapies. The years passed by but Natalia couldn’t leave – she was already in love with Australia.
After massaging full time for a few years at a chiropractic clinic in Sydney, Natalia had to stop because of the pain she suffered in her shoulders due to the work. Her doctor’s advice was to start Pilates as a rehabilitation program. Reconnecting with Pilates inspired her to become an instructor, and she commenced her training at Polestar.
As a physiotherapist Natalia was very fulfilled studying Pilates, inspired by how spectacular the exercises are for the prevention of injuries, rehabilitation and wellness of the body and mind.
I just love Pilates and all the benefits it brings to my body and mind. As an instructor and physiotherapist I think it is one of the best forms of exercise that my clients can do. It rehabilitates the body, assists in the prevention of injuries and improves technique and strength thus improving performance in other sports and activities.
